Nicolas Théodon appointed Managing Director France of Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals
As of this week, Nicolas Théodon has been appointed Managing Director France of Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals, which brings together the activities of CHRYSO and GCP Applied Technologies in France, spread over five industrial sites.
Nicolas Théodon will be responsible for managing the French subsidiary in a radically changing construction market, and will draw on his 16 years’ experience with Chryso to support the sector’s manufacturers in their low-carbon transition.
He succeeds Franck Gimer, who retains his position as Vice-President Southern Europe and Africa.
A graduate of Grenoble Management School, Nicolas Theodon has 16 years’ experience at CHRYSO, where he held a number of operational positions, including General Manager for the Mediterranean zone and the Iberian Peninsula.
Building on this experience, he successively managed the Cement and Concrete Business Units at Group headquarters.
Franck Gimer served as General Manager France for 23 years, working hard to position CHRYSO and then Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals France as leaders in their sector.
He remains Vice-President for Southern Europe and Africa, and will put his expertise at the service of the development of high-growth countries.
Commenting on Nicolas Théodon’s appointment, he said: “I’m particularly moved to pass the torch to Nicolas, who can rely on the support of our 350 committed and customer-focused employees. I am convinced that his leadership, his in-depth knowledge of the sector and his passion for innovation will play a decisive role in enabling us to bring new offerings and solutions to the challenge of low-carbon construction, which we collectively need to succeed in.”
